Technology
At MS 131, technology is an integral part of every subject area and every classroom. All of our teachers utilize a laptop and a SmartBoard to deliver instruction and assess student progress. All students have their own school issues Chromebook, which after a period of training, they are able to take home to complete assignments online.
All MS131 students have MS131 email accounts sponsored by Google, which they use to receive and send assignments to their teachers and to collaborate on projects with their classmates. 
By the time they graduate, students at MS131 are advanced users of all the Google Drive Apps and other important software.
As part of the “Respect for All” program in our safe school environment, students learn how to be responsible digital citizens and how to respect each other and all others when using the Internet.
Mouse Squad @ MS131
An innovative youth development program, MOUSE Squad prepares and supports students in establishing and managing leading edge technical support help desks in their schools. MOUSE Squad improves a school’s ability to use technology to enhance learning, while also providing a powerful, hands-on 21st century learning experience for students.

Robotics and Coding
Due to popular demand, we are expanding our robotics and coding program. Students learn coding both during the school day, or have the opportunity to expand their knowledge in after-school robotics as well. Check out some of the projects our students coded themselves!
