What a gorgeous day for our students and teacher to bond at the beginning of the year! The 6th graders took the Ferry to Governor’s Island to do some team building, slide down the slides and take in the sights. The 7th grade got splashed by the sea lions at the aquarium, and followed that up with a picnic on the beach. And the 8th grade got all the way to Rockaway Beach, where they were greeted by two pods of Dolphins (or were they pilot whales?)!!! A great way to start the year and get to know each other outside the classroom, making our conversations and relationships in school that much stronger.
