Coach Matt has joined MS 131 as our new E-Sports coach. He will have practices and games everyday afterschool in our Gaming Room, 131. MS 131 will compete against other schools around the country in Minecraft, Rocket League, League of Legends, and other exciting games. All students are welcome to join!
The 131 Soccer Team took the field at Columbus Park. It was the first game for 131, with many players who had never played before. The team fought super hard and supported each other throughout! They will play weekly on Fridays. Come out an support them!
Our amazing Girl’s Volleyball team, fresh off their win against the teacher in the student teacher game, visited NYU to watch a college volleyball game in action. Some serious competition!
The 6th grade lunchtime intramural basketball league has kicked off the season. We have four teams, playing 4 on 4 each day during recess. The Boys JV Flag Football team had an exciting win on Friday! Kevin returned an interception the length of the field for the go-ahead touchdown, and Hayden caught a pass from Max to put the game away (video above). Tremendous defense and hustle! Great job Coach Ruiz and 131 flag football!
